Skywarn Operations
The club is currently working to provide Skywarn coverage in Kandiyohi County and parts of Renville, Meeker, Swift, and Chippewa Counties.
If Skywarn spotter activation is necessary for our area the club will provide Net Control on the 146.91- repeater. Net Control will relay reports to the National Weather Service office in Chanhassen when necessary. When a weather net is active on the repeater please refrain from triggering the repeater unless you have traffic for the weather net. To participate in the weather net you must be a trained Skywarn Spotter.
Skywarn Spotters who travel to the Twin Cities should also consider joining Metro Skywarn.
